K-2 Lesson
Directions
1. Listen to Alma and How She Got Her Name
2. Ask your parents and family how they chose your name
3. Write or draw the story of your name!
Ex: My first name is Jessica. I was named after my Grandmommy Jesse who was my great-grandmother on my dad's side of the family. To draw the story of my name, I might draw a picture of me and my Grandmommy Jesse. I'd probably also draw her chocolate chess pie which was a secret family recipe that she shared with me.
